Quotes attributable to Zoe Bettison

This is an exciting opportunity for South Australians from a diversity of cultural backgrounds; gender; lived experiences; ages; metro, regional and rural areas; and new and emerging communities to make a positive difference and impact.

South Australian Multicultural Commission members play an important role in maintaining and drawing on their close connections with our diverse multicultural communities, cross-cultural understanding and lived experiences, to then be able to advise on opportunities and barriers facing people from multicultural backgrounds.

The Commission also has an ongoing role in promoting the South Australian Multicultural Charter and the advantages of a proud multicultural and intercultural society.

The Malinauskas Labor Government values the contributions and efforts of all current Commission members and I as the Minister for Multicultural Affairs look forward to working with the new Commission from 1 July to continue to strengthen our proudly multicultural state.

I urge any South Australians who are energetic, engaging and committed to ensuring the diverse voices of our community are heard, to express their interest in joining the South Australian Multicultural Commission.
