Tourism Equals Jobs

Every Government dollar that is invested in Tourism creates a reliable, sustainable and regional stimulus to the economy and employment.

This is why other states are increasing their investment rather than withdrawing support at this critical time.

It's people like Luke who employ part of the 36,000 people who work in tourism-related businesses in our State.

There are more than 18,000 tourism businesses in South Australia.

Many of these are run by families, just like how Alan and his family run two holiday parks in SA.

Tourism brought $6.8 billion to our state's economy in 2018.

This is money spent at businesses like Julio's, who are passionate about providing a great experience to their customers and creating local jobs.

In 2018, 2.6 million people visited South Australia from interstate.

These visitors contributed $2.2 billion to our economy and supported local businesses like T BAR TEA SALON, owned by Peggy who is an #ichoosesa Ambassador with Brand South Australia.

T Bar sources all their leaf tea direct from growers and have 120 tea blends and varieties to be enjoyed. They also ship their product Australia-wide, so visitors can continue to support our state even after their visit is over.
